"Our daughter worked with Katie throughout second-grade, and we truly can't say enough good things about our experience. From the very first session, Katie made OT fun and engaging. Our daughter genuinely looked forward to every appointment.
Katie carefully identified our daughter's specific challenges - grip and finger strength, and pencil grasp - and created a plan that was tailored to her needs. She continually introduced new exercises and activities that kept sessions fresh while steadily building the skills our daughter needed. We had worked with other occupational therapists before, but their programs felt generic and full-body focused, which did not lead to any material finger and grip improvements.
The results with Katie were remarkable. Our daughter went from having an incorrect pencil grip and weak hand and finger strength to developing proper technique and noticeably stronger hands. We saw the improvement in everyday life, and our daughter often comments that there are things she can do now that she simply couldn't do before working with Katie.
